SAN MATEO, Calif.—January 26, 2016—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry’s leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that merchants running their B2C and B2B businesses on NetSuite’s unified omnichannel commerce platform, SuiteCommerce, transacted a total of 4.7 million orders online and in-store during the 2015 holiday period of November and December—a 21 percent increase from the same period in 2014. The figure represents a sevenfold increase over the industry, which experienced year-over-year retail holiday growth of only three percent, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF).
Bronto Software, a NetSuite company that provides the leading cloud-based commerce marketing automation platform, sent 3.7 billion marketing messages between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. The 54 percent year-over-year increase represents how integral Bronto technology is to merchants keen to engage and motivate their customers with the delivery of timely, relevant and data-driven digital marketing during their holiday shopping journeys.
NetSuite’s cloud platform not only tackled the spikes of holiday marketing and order processing, it delivered critical website performance that surpassed the online operations of retail giants. During November and December, the average speed of all SuiteCommerce websites was 23 percent faster than the average speed of 30 leading US retailers, including Amazon and Apple, based on data gathered using Dynatrace.
