This September, the vibrant city of Las Vegas served as the backdrop for SuiteWorld 2024, Oracle’s premier NetSuite-specific ERP conference. As the largest gathering of its kind in the United States, SuiteWorld has become the ultimate destination for all things NetSuite, bringing together over 7,500 attendees and tens of thousands more participating online. This year’s event marked a significant milestone, offering a comprehensive exploration of the evolving landscape of cloud technology and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
A Visionary Keynote
The conference opened with a compelling keynote address from Evan Goldberg, Founder and EVP of Oracle NetSuite. In his presentation, Goldberg celebrated the company’s impressive trajectory, revealing that Oracle NetSuite now serves more than 40,000 customers globally.
Among these clients, 83 are members of the prestigious Forbes Cloud 100, showcasing Oracle NetSuite’s prominent role within the cloud computing space. Goldberg also unveiled plans for the expansion of Oracle NetSuite’s data infrastructure. The company is ramping up its data centers to a total of 36 across 17 regions, with new facilities opening in key markets such as India and Brazil. This expansion is set to enhance the reliability and accessibility of Oracle NetSuite’s services, further solidifying its commitment to a growing international customer base.
Innovations on the Horizon
SuiteWorld 2024 underscored Oracle NetSuite’s dedication to innovation, with significant product announcements that promise to shape the future of cloud technology. A standout reveal was the official launch of NetSuite’s new user experience, Redwood. Hillel Cooperman, Oracle’s Senior VP of UX Design, introduced this new interface designed for simplicity and efficiency.
Key features include:
- Natural Language Processing: Allowing users to search and interact with the system using everyday language.
Customizable Dashboards: Enabling real-time reports and visualizations tailored to individual needs.
- Enhanced Search and Command Box: Streamlining task execution with smart suggestions, the gradual rollout of Redwood allowed attendees to experience its new functionality in action on the Customer 360 dashboard.
Game-Changing Product Releases
NetSuite also unveiled two innovative products aimed at elevating business operations:
- SuiteProcurement: This new solution revolutionizes indirect buying by streamlining purchasing approvals, order creation, invoicing, and reporting. It seamlessly integrates with suppliers through the Oracle Business Network and launches exclusive offers, including a 12-month Amazon Business Prime Medium membership valued at $1,299 and dynamic pricing through Staples Business Advantage.
- SuiteProjects Pro: Replacing OpenAir, this next-generation Professional Services Automation (PSA) solution enhances the existing SuiteProjects functionality with advanced features like AI-powered project risk analysis and staffing recommendations. The revamped user experience and per-user pricing model promise to deliver a more efficient and insightful project management tool.
Enhanced Integrations
A highlight of SuiteWorld 2024 was the announcement of the
a groundbreaking integration designed to help customers streamline processes and enhance decision-making. This connector automates data sharing between NetSuite and Salesforce, breaking down silos and accelerating key processes such as order-to-cash and revenue recognition.
Gary Wiessinger, Senior VP of Application Development at Oracle NetSuite, stated, “With the NetSuite Connector for Salesforce, data alignment is automatic, enhancing visibility into order details, customer information, and financials. This will significantly improve the speed and accuracy of business operations and decision-making.”
Powered by Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), the NetSuite Connector offers:
- Real-time access to financial data, including invoices and payments within Salesforce.
- Automated updates to customer records, enhancing profile accuracy.
- Syncing inventory and pricing details, maintaining consistency across platforms.
- Improved accuracy and visibility of sales orders, fostering better operational efficiency. This innovative solution will be available in North America within the next 12 months, setting the stage for enhanced data management.
